Claudia Hammond

Award-winning broadcaster, author and psychology lecturer

Claudia Hammond is an award-winning writer and broadcaster and Visiting Professor in the Public Understanding of Psychology at the University of Sussex.

She has been awarded the President’s Medal from the British Academy, the British Psychological Society’s Public Engagement & Media Award, Mind’s Making a Difference Award and the British Neuroscience Association’s Public Understanding of Neuroscience Award.

She is the author of Emotional RollercoasterMind over Money, The Art of Rest  and Time Warped, winner of the British Psychological Society’s Best Popular Science Book Award and the Aeon Transmission Award.   Claudia gives talks on psychology around the world and often chairs public events on psychology, medicine and science. She writes a regular column on medical myths for BBC Future.

Her latest book, The Keys to Kindness, is the result of the world’s largest public science project on the subject of kindness, and is published by Canongate.

Her current role involves supporting companies to help their employees become more financially resilient through designing and delivering engaging financial education programmes.

Kenny joined NatWest in 2018 in Reward and is now embarking on a new career into the world of share plans following his recent move into the Corporate Governance function in 2022. Kenny is particularly interested in how employee share plans can be used to increase wider workforce financial literacy and wellbeing and how creating a strong culture of employee share ownership can drive better business performance.

Ian Hodson

Ian is the Director of People and Culture at Housing 21overseeing all aspects of people management including reward, payroll, pensions, employee benefits, HR systems and executive remuneration. Having started his career in finance before moving specifically in to reward Ian has a background in both the public and private sector having previously worked for Moy Park, Mars, Prudential, Lincolnshire County Council and the University of Lincoln.

A firm believer and champion in the importance of reward strategy as a driver for change and in supporting organisational success, Ian has previously overseen teams that have been acknowledged for their achievements at awards for their innovative work including winning the 2021 and 2022 Employee Benefits Grand Prix award.

Ian is the current board member of the Education Competencies Consortium who focus on ensuring fair and equal pay through role evaluation and reward frameworks.

Ian has also been a recipient of the Pay and Benefits Career Accomplishment Award and was also the Employee Benefits Reward Professional of the Year in 2019. Ian also regularly contributes to professional publications and conferences within the sector providing insights into the future of work.

Natalie Quilter

Diversity and Inclusion Specialist, G15

Natalie is an experienced operations and inclusion leader within the housing sector. Motivated by her own mental health challenges and being a caregiver for her mother,  Natalie uses her own lived experience and specialist knowledge to support small and global organisations alongside her day job by running talks and workshops on topics in the ED&I and wellbeing realm – specialising in supporting carers in the workplace and the importance of financial wellbeing. Natalie has authored impactful case studies for several organisations including the National Housing Federation and the CMI, and this work has led her to be a top 10 finalist for Young Person of the Year 2022 and 2023 by Investors in People, Family Friendly Champion of the year by Working Families 2024 and Highly commended HR Leader of the year by Reward Gateway 2024.

I’m Claire Kershaw and I’m the Health and Wellbeing Manager at Next. I’ve been working within Next for 28 years and I’m lucky to be in a role which totally feeds my passion.
