PMI Webinar – COVID-19 impact on retirement.

The incomes of many households across the UK have been seriously impacted by COVID-19. Employers and Trustees need to provide support to pension scheme members to help them navigate the broader financial concerns they currently have, not just pensions.

Members have a lot more to think about in the current crisis such as:

  • Possibly dealing with furlough
  • Keeping up with mortgage, rent and debt payments
  • The drop in their equity based investments, including pension pots
  • Deciding whether to continue to make regular pension contributions

It is important for employers and Trustees to understand what can be done to support members considering these broader issues, to help them make informed decisions when planning for or taking retirement now.

Jonathan Watts-Lay, Director, WEALTH at work joins PMI and Hymans Robertson in a webinar to discuss the impact COVID-19 has had on retirement and addresses the questions and concerns many employees and members may have.
