Gov’t launches £11m ad campaign ahead of auto-enrolment

Auto-enrolment communication is extremely important. Whilst employers need to understand their requirements, individuals need to understand why saving towards retirement is absolutely vital. This campaign should highlight this.  However, this could be a very hard task without the provision of financial education in the workplace to compliment it. Financial education will ensure people understand the importance of workplace pensions and can highlight why opting out could be a mistake. Financial education can also aid the understanding of the full workplace savings and benefits programme and how it can maximise the total value of an employee’s wealth which is essential – especially in the current economic climate.
