Majority of employers will allow workers to choose retirement age

‘Given the new retirement options and various ways retirement income can be drawn, it is important employees are given access to financial education from a specialist firm. In many cases this should be supported with advice. Given retirement decisions are now the biggest financial decision most people will make in their lives, it doesn’t seem right to leave this solely to line managers or the employee – getting it wrong after a lifetime of saving needs to be avoided at all cost although the funny thing is a good education programme for retirees need not be expensive’.
