Improving DC in the workplace roundtable

Jonathan Watts-Lay comments: There are a number of issues worth highlighting here. The first is the low take-up rate of DC plans and what can be done to improve that. It’s the whole ‘ free money’ argument: people don’t even take contributions that are available from their employers. If you gave someone £1,000 as a pay rise they would almost rip your arm off for it, but when it is given as a pension contribution, somehow it doesn’t seem as attractive.
