When financial education and guidance sessions started to be offered through work, this massively helped me to understand how I was going to achieve my goals. I also think that because it was endorsed by my employer, this instilled me with more confidence to engage with it.
BT organised a series of workshops with WEALTH at work and also provided regular updates on the internal retirement website. Following this, I spoke to one of their Advisers who helped me to understand the strategy that I wanted to take with my investments.
I’m really pleased with the advice and guidance I’ve received over the last few years. The support from BT and WEALTH at work comes across as a joint partnership and really works well – well it definitely did on my part. It was nice to have someone ‘watching your back.’ I of course speak for myself, but I’m sure there were other BT employees who felt the same.
I’m a big fan of the programme, ‘Grand Designs’ and it was a dream for a long time to work on my own project. My wife kept telling me to go for it and to start looking into it. I was in my 60’s when my wife found a cow shed (it still had cows in it when we found it). We lived in a caravan for 12 months whilst we converted the cow shed. If BT hadn’t introduced us to WEALTH at work, I wouldn’t have invested or saved the way I did. The advice and expertise I have received helped me to purchase and convert the cow shed I now call home today.
WEALTH at work helped me to fulfil my lifelong dream of creating my very own ‘Grand Design’ and I managed to do it all in my retirement.
