John Pope, age 60 from Hertfordshire discovered my wealth after he attended a retirement planning seminar whilst working for BT. He thought the seminar provided a good introduction to planning for retirement, which prompted him to arrange a meeting with an Adviser.
John met with my wealth Adviser, Ed Meqa who looked at his income and expenditure and discussed his financial position in more depth. Once Ed had established the level of risk John was comfortable with, he was then able to suggest suitable investment strategies and offer realistic advice about when he could consider taking retirement.
John commented, “Something that I really liked about my wealth was that Ed took the time to build a relationship with me. He became someone that I trusted and could turn to with any queries on my retirement planning. I felt that he was genuinely looking out for my best interests which gave me confidence in the service.”
John continues, “With Ed’s help and advice I have been able to put in place financial plans that allow me to help both my daughters get on the housing ladder.”
In December 2014, John made the move to retire and is now enjoying his free time. This year John and his wife have already travelled to France, Italy twice and the Canaries with further trips planned. He has also been able to concentrate on DIY jobs around the house, assist one of his daughters to set up her own business and spend time cycling.[/su_column][/su_row]
