what can a Workplace ISA do for your company?
ISAs are tax-efficient investment vehicles and a great way of providing an attractive benefit for employees within a flexible benefits package. They give employers a flexible, effort-free solution to offering employees a savings option as part of their benefits.
John has a maturing SAYE scheme and used his Workplace ISA to mitigate his capital gains tax liability.
The Workplace ISA can:
- accept transfer of shares from your company share schemes
- allow the purchase of your company shares from cash contributions
- enable employees to sell company shares within the ISA and buy alternative investments
This is a Stocks and Shares ISA and is available :
- Face-to-face advice where we manage portfolios on a discretionary basis
- Online, where employees self select their investments and are thus non-advised

- Flexibility. The ISA accepts in specie transfers of company stock (eg from an SAYE or SIP) and thus offers employees the option of retaining holdings of stock whether for employment contract or personal reasons. Investments may also be made in cash to purchase company stock or invest in our other services.
- Diversification. Employees can self-invest using our online Self Select service.
- Online access. Full details of the investments, the Self Select and Corporate Stock services are available via a secure website.
- Impartial advice on an individual basis for offline investors. If your employees have £20,000 or more to invest or transfer (such as from maturing share schemes and legacy pensions), our UK-wide team of qualified Strategic Investment Planners can be employed to look at their individual circumstances in more detail.
