From the classroom into practice.

In 2013, WEALTH at work, in partnership with University of Lincoln, announced an agreement through which the two organisations would share their interest and commitment to the development of educational needs.

Included in this agreement was an exciting opportunity available for a student from the University’s undergraduate Business programme to take part in a three year scholarship at WEALTH at work. Kate Wills, a Business Studies student at the university was awarded the scholarship and is currently in her second year of placement; working within the Marketing department.

Jonathan Watts-Lay, Director, WEALTH at work comments, “Kate has just completed her second summer placement working in our Marketing department and has participated in various campaigns for the company and its clients. We are confident that her experience so far will provide extensive knowledge that will benefit her throughout her degree and future career.”

Kate also comments, “Working at WEALTH at work has allowed me to meet fantastic people and be involved in some exciting projects. Taking part in a work placement alongside my degree allows me to put what I have learnt from the classroom into practice, and helped me identify the area of business that I would like to progress into, which is marketing. It has been lovely to be back this year and I am looking forward to seeing what next year brings.”

Ian Hodson, Reward Manager at the University of Lincoln added, “At the University we always look to build relationships with businesses that can be explored and exist beyond the original purpose. I am extremely proud to see that that our partnership with WEALTH at work is a perfect example of this model and continues to create opportunities for both organisations. I am sure the experience Kate has had will give her an advantage when she progresses from the University and I look forward to seeing similar opportunities for other students over the coming years”.
